BIPARTISAN ENDORSEMENT: RT.HON.MRS.JANE ENEH, ENUGU FEMALE POLITICAL HEAVYWEIGHTS LAUNCH COALITION TO PROMOTE UNITY AND SUPPORT GOV. PETER MBAH’S 2027 RE-ELECTION BID.
A formidable coalition of influential women leaders in Enugu State, comprising stakeholders from both All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), held its inaugural meeting on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, at the APC Party Secretariat, GRA, Enugu. The meeting, authorized by Dr. Ben Nwoye, Chairman APC Enugu State Caretaker Committee, brought together key female political figures, including two members of the Enugu State House of Assembly, five local government vice chairpersons, three female commissioners, appointees from the Office of the Governor and other women political leaders across party lines. The coalition primary objective is to mobilize support for the re-election of Governor Peter Mbah in 2027; in recognition of his developmental strides and governance initiatives across the state.

Convener of the coalition and member of the APC Caretaker Committee, Dr. (Mrs.) Oby Ajih, emphasized during her address that the alliance was founded on principles of unity, continuity and collective responsibility beyond partisan boundaries. She stated that the group’s focus is on fostering sustainable development and inclusive governance for the benefit of all Enugu citizens. Supporting her position, the Deputy Leader Enugu State House of Assembly and representative of Awgu North Constituency, Rt.Hon.Mrs.Jane Eneh lauds the initiative, commending Enugu women stakeholders for their commitment to peace, stability and progress under Governor Mbah’s visionary leadership. The coalition reaffirmed its dedication to promoting unity and good governance through statewide sensitization and grassroots mobilization efforts, which are set to commence soon in preparation for the 2027 elections and to ensure comprehensive support for Governor Peter Mbah’s second term ambition.
